EzOpenBackup Lite is a computer software that features

The main difference of the Plus! and the Lite edition of EzOpenBackup is that the
Plus! edition has
the Data Recovery Bin which is not in the Lite edition. With
this Data Recovery Bin, the Plus! edition of EzOpenBackup
can not only be used for file backup, but also allow users
to back-trace modified files.
While both EzOpenBackup Lite and Plus! editions
use XLink's in-house developed Snapshot Technology to
capture point-in-time snapshots for file backup, the two
products carry out entirely different file backup
structures.
- The Lite edition separates the current and the
previous files in two folders and creates different
versions of a file with same name in the previous file
folder
- The Plus! edition constructs a complete
sequential list of backuped files according to the
backup date.

6. Can I backup files that are being used by other applications?
Yes.
EzOpenBackup Lite is capable of opened/locked files backup. However, this feature is not supported on FAT file system.

Yes. EzOpenBackup Lite can be run on Windows
systems of either FAT or NTFS file system.

8. Can I backup an entire drive with EzOpenBackup
Lite?
Yes and no.
EzOpenBackup Lite is designed to only backup data files.
So, if it is the C:\ drive you are trying to backup you may
have problems because C:\ drive is where Windows system
files are normally kept. However, to backup, say, a E:\
drive which contains only data files, EzOpenBackup Lite
would have no problem with it.

9 Do I have to log into the system to run backup?
Yes and no.
EzOpenBackup Lite is running when the system is up.
So, as long as both backup source and destination are on the
same system, no log on is required. If the backup
destination is on a remote system, user logon is required.

EzOpenBackup Lite keeps a Backup log to assist
users trace the backup status of all defined backup plans.
When files are not backuped successfully, this log will
indicate the failure.
