Backup To Remote Systems

EzOpenBackup can backup files to both local and remote destinations. Backup to remote system require, however, authentication checkup for write permissions.

Here is an example on setup a backup definition with target location on a remote system.

Here -

• The backup source is the local folder of “C:\pppo\”
• The backup destination is on a system with IP number 123.123.123.10
• The backup schedule is set on plan B for backup in every two hours
• The number of backup versions to keep is 5

Now you have completed the process of defining a new backup plan. Click button OK, you will be prompted for authentication checkup.

Type in an account name and its password of the remote system. If correct account information is provided, next box will appear. Click Yes to perform the initial full backup so that the systems are ready for the scheduled backup.

If incorrect account information is provided, this next box will come up to notify the error.

User must provide correct account information to access remote systems.
