Automatic Failover Across LAN or WAN
While replicating data in real-time to local
and remote locations, ClusterReplica can also handle automatic failover within a
LAN or across WAN regardless of the distance between the Primary and the
Secondary stations. The built-in DNS setup of ClusterReplica assists you to
easily configure the server redirect function so that your network users can
continue their server access when the Primary station fails.
For example, as shown in picture below, the Master
stations are located on the west and east coast of US, the Replica station can
be in the middle of the land to receive replicated data in real-time and
function as the Failover target server.
